About me

I believe you don't get stuck because of circumstances, but because of yourself.

I often see people working very hard on their health with strict diets and cardio-heavy workout regimens, only to give up again. "Now's not the time," "I'm tired," "I think I need something else."

Maaike helped me tremendously in achieving the goals we had set together: I was looking for ways to implement a healthier lifestyle, with the added bonus of losing weight. What was particularly nice for me was that it was not about dieting and getting super slim, but about becoming strong, feeling fit, feeling healthy. A -for me- essentially different approach than what I always had in mind before. After some practice in where I can get the right nutrients from and how much I need of everything, it feels like I am now 'just eating like this', and can therefore continue to apply this in the long term or can tighten it up again/let it go if necessary.

I wanted to develop a better relationship with food for my goals in the gym and at competitions. Maaike helped me keep the goal in mind, but also offered support with the (mental) challenges that came with it. She has the know-how, but also the people skills, to really help people achieve their goals and get the best out of themselves.
